Suffering from a series of business failures as well as personal tragedy and loss I took a plane from Chicago to Paris for a vacation. I started making money in France and stayed. The enlightenment I had about health and weight loss while I lived as an American Artist in Paris was an illumination of biblical proportions but not the way some might think.Paris is arguably the seat of Western Culture, Art and Romance. But it is also the undisputed capital of Gluten. There is more croissants, baguettes, and pastry per meter squared in Paris than anywhere else in the Universe. Even the French Revolution has its birth bathed in Gluten. Legend has it the starving market women of Paris marched all the way to the Palace of Versailles with cries of Du Pain!, Du Pain! (Bread! Bread!). The story goes the great French Princess and master problem solver Marie-Antoinette responded with, Let them eat cake! or “Quils mangent de la brioche which actually means They can eat Brioche! (French bread made with sugar).And it is here in Gluten-land my health took a nose dive. I thought it was just age catching up with me but I was wrong. This book is a recollection of my awakening and how I answered most every question I had about health, holistic diets, nutrition, weight loss, exercise and sexuality as we age.The most difficult thing for me to grasp along this journey was how simple and interconnected everything was. After a few false starts I finally got it, made the necessary adjustments to my diet and the weight fell off while my health turned around.This book is written with candor and from the heart in an attempt to give you the insights you need learn from my mistakes so you can build a new healthy you as slim, sexy and strong as possible.
